Kinship Navigator Program
The Kinship Navigator Program was created to support caregivers, such as grandparents, relatives or friends, that are caring for a child or children while the parents are unable to care for them.
Our 211 specialists informs caregivers of this program, as well as enters them in a portal which notifies one of four Care Navigator Agencies within the state. These agencies will contact the caregivers to help them enroll in the program. This program requires that caregivers renew their benefits each year beginning in July. We assist caregivers with this process. We also provide other types of referrals that can help the caregiver and the children that they are caring for.
