NJ 211 Data Dashboard
What is it?
The dashboard is a comprehensive tool that aggregates and visualizes data collected from NJ 211 contacts. It provides insights into trends in community needs and geographic patterns. It allows organizations, policymakers, and community leaders to analyze real-time data, helping them make informed decisions about resource allocation, identify community needs, apply for grants, improve service delivery, and advocate for policy changes to better serve their communities.
What does it contain?
The dashboard reflects the data collected during a contact. A record is made for every contact made to NJ 211. This data is used by our community resource specialists to find the most appropriate resources for our consumers. The data is aggregated and becomes helpful in understanding the needs of our residents while maintaining their confidentiality. The dashboard contains the following types of data and filters.
Types of Data:
Contacts - A call, text, chat or email handled by a community resource specialist.
Clients and Demographics* - An individual who contacted NJ 211, displayed as a single or multiple contact plus their race, age, gender, and language.
Needs - The reason(s) individuals contacted NJ 211. Often, they have multiple needs during a contact.
Referrals - Where individuals who contacted NJ 211 were referred; government and community agencies are sorted by count of referrals.
*Some contacts do not require certain client data to be collected. Therefore, the dashboard will reflect "Not recorded" for these contacts.
